Monte Verde Inn Wedding | Alex and Ryan

A gorgeous day in the Foothills of California played host to Alex and Ryan’s beautiful wedding at The Monte Verde Inn in Foresthill, CA. Alex and Ryan are young, educated, and loving, and I am just as excited to know them as I was to take these photos at their wedding!

Ryan’s mom hand-folded the paper cranes and created this display to honor Ryan’s part Japanese heritage…wonderful work mom!

And I can never blog a Monte Verde Inn Wedding without showing owner Kelly Dalisa‘s awesome cake-making skills! I mean…seariously? Those are edible flowers? You rock Kelly!

Joe Kalamaras of SJ Disc Jockey helped keep the party going and kept the guest entertained with this photo booth until they shut the place down!

Jeff and Rachels Engagement session Sneak Peek

Before Jeff and Rachels wedding, we actually did their engagement session… so why am I blogging these backwards? Good question. That I have no answer to. I have an artists brain, mkay? We dont always color inside the lines.

Check out these punchy black and whites!! We shot these in full sun/shade combo, so they had TONS of contrast already. Love these mucho!

Rick and Jaclyn Engagement Session: Part Two

Okay, here is Part two of Rick and Jaclyns engagement session at UCSC… (check out Part One here). Not only are these two lovebirds super fun and awesome, they are just visibly in love, happy and despite claiming to need direction when we did their University of California Santa Cruz engagement photos, half the time I just stood back and said “be cute and lovey and stuff” and they just… did. Looking forward to shooting their Monte Verde Inn wedding photos next month!!! Miss you guys!!

I literally risked my life on this next one… but it was so worth it once I saw the photo.

This photo makes no sense… I look like I was frozen during the UCSC engagement shoot and just fell to the ground.

This is the most fun you can possibly have at “work.” Rick and Jaclyn, thanks for making my job more fun than some people’s day off!!

Jeff and Rachel’s intimate Wedding

Jeff and Rachel are super fun, and totally in love, and couldn’t wait until next year to get married… so they held a small, private ceremony in Folsom, CA to make it official. I was honored to be part of this family-only event, and the we got some great Folsom Wedding photos! This was a ceremony only, and a big reception will be held next year to celebrate the marriage of Jeff and Rachel…
